Originating lead producer, Garry McQuinn and his Executive Producer Bradley Stauffer-Kruse oversee and manage all international versions of Priscilla since it’s Australian premiere in 2006.
Priscilla opened in Australia in 2006, and after a sell-out two year run in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland opened in London’s West End followed by Broadway. Various productions of Priscilla have played in Las Vegas, Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires, Athens, Seoul, Singapore, Milan (3 times), Rome, Trieste, Turin, Florence, Padova, Bologna, Stockholm, Madrid, UK tour (2 tours), US tour, Manila, Carols Paz, Amsterdam and aboard one of the world’s largest cruise liners, the Norwegian Epic. Future plans include Copenhagen, Mexico City, Berlin, Hong Kong, Paris, Cape Town, Tokyo, Auckland, and in 2018 (more than ten years after Priscilla opened in Sydney) Garry will take Australia’s national musical back home for a major tour.
Based on the Oscar-winning movie, Pricilla is the heart-warming, uplifting story of three friends who embark on an adventure in a battered old bus and end up finding more than they could have ever dreamt of – love, friendship, and acceptance. With a dazzling array of over 500 award-winning costumes, 200 extraordinary headdresses, and a gyrating hit parade of dance floor classics, this bold, wildly unique, hilarious, touching and very Australian musical is a journey to the heart of FABULOUS!
The show has won numerous awards all over the world including prestigious Olivier and Tony trophies. The show is currently back by popular demand in the UK where it is touring every major regional theatre for the second season.
To date, Priscilla has been seen by approximately 5 million people and has grossed almost USD $350 million dollars worldwide. The bus has travelled perhaps 100,000 miles, about 4 times around the world
